No Show: We Make Fun
No Show is a clean comedy podcast, featuring skits, stories, reviews, and a mockery of all things pop-culture and social networking. In other words, we’re funny and we make fun of everything –including ourselves.
Why is it called “No Show”?
That came from a brain-storming session between the three hosts. Originally, Cowan had the idea of calling it “The Unnamed Podcast,” and we would give it a different pretend name each episode, related to whichever topic we were discussing that particular week. This concept was ultimately scratched, but we took some of the elements of the idea, by shortening the name down to “No Show” and adding the “Coming Up Next On…” closing segment.
Basically, “No Show” simply means that there is NO SHOW quite like it.
So, are you saying there isn’t any show?
No, you’re really missing the point.
How did No Show get started?
Back in 2006, Quandt, Cowan, and another friend, Brandon Turner, started a podcast called The MadCast. It was basically a free-style “whatever we feel like talking about” show. Eventually, Brandon had to leave the show, and we brought in Nate Henderson to make us a trio once again.
We learned a lot about podcasting during that time, and, in 2009, decided it was time to switch things up. So, we came up with a more organized format, changed our name, and improved a lot of what we were doing in the background to produce the podcast (including web hosting, design, and equipment).
